John has been in the flower business for over 25 years. He started out in a wholesale potted plant greenhouse where he grew flowering and green plants for indoors and out.

John then joined the sales force at a wholesale cut flower company and learned a lot about cut flowers. Then he decided to try his hand at design and ran a retail flower shop for many years where he did all kinds of arrangements from basic to very elaborate. For many years he participated in the art and flowers event at the Minneapolis museum of art. He was then offered the job of running flower operations at the Farmers Market Annex where is working today. That along with operating the Market Flowers retail downtown shop he keeps very busy.
